We can’t control the happenstances that determine the course of our lives. But we can control how we respond to them, and we can carry on looking for the bright side, no matter how dark the future appears. We can’t make a perfect world. But we owe it to ourselves, to those around us, to those we have lost and those who have yet to come, to make the best of it that we can. The best of all possible worlds.
