The translation of luminous experience and human connection to "divine" causality is unworthy of life's real beauty, power and meaning. Why make up superstitious drivel to explain beautiful consciousness when beauty and humanity are so spectacular things themselves? To cast backwards in some subconscious, often infantile, desire for larger agency and even a "lawgiver" for mystical thinking is depressing, lazy, and reductionist.
